Analytica in collaboration with Skylineconnections Inc.,
USA developes REALTIME,
an asset tracking and location management system for
hospitals. REALTIME is a complete receiver network
connected to the information backbone, which allows
you to receive signals from all the badges and tags
throughout one or many buildings in your facility.
The REALTIME user interface is intuitive, and allows
you to keep track of all your assets, equipments, and
personnel, throughout your campus using a single user
interface – shown in below figure for the specific
case of REALTIME as applied to a Hospital/Healthcare
facility. The details of all the badges (separated by
floor) may be viewed by selecting any building in the
campus.

The REALTIME server collects positional information through
a sensory net, that is composed of IR and RF (or exclusively
RF) sensors. These sensors are positioned/installed throughout
the location, with spacing as determined after a survey of
the implementation workspace. All objects to be tracked are
tagged with an RF/IR badge, which transmits information in
real-time. Based upon the sensor that pick up the information,
the REALTIME server sends updates to all clients that they
can view this information graphically on their screens.
The REALTIME server also integrates with back-end enterprise
decision systems like ERP and SCM, to provide location information
about the assets that are being tracked.
