The
ARIES RFID Middleware is the only server in the world to
integrate both Active as well as Passive RFID devices
into a single system, handling the complex logic of
both types of badges to give you a single window into
the health of your enterprise. Some of the path-breaking
features of the ARIES system are :
|
_
|
Built on the ARIES SDK - a Java-based API for most
aspects of RFID operation, including interfacing with
multiple readers/writers, concentrators, and other
enterprise infrastructure like ONS servers and back-end
ERP systems. This cross-platform system allows you
to make your decision on vendor and platform for the
hardware, servers, and other equipment independent
of the RFID server.
|
_
|
Integrates with widely available
RFID hardware, giving you a wide choice of tags, readers,
and technologies, from both active and passive tag systems.
Passive technology includes ISO 18000-3.1 / ISO 15693
read write devices of the frequency ranges 125 KHz,
134 kHz and 13.56 Mhz. A significant feature of the
ARIES system is that it allows for hybrid technologies
to be used within the same system - allowing different
hardware to co-exist and work together in the same environment.
|
_
|
Integrated highly optimized
rule-engine, with the ability to effectively handle
high volumes of passive, active, and hybrid traffic.
The ability to process hybrid (passive + active) rules
within the same system allows for innovative and novel
uses of RFID system combined with spatial location techniques.
|
_
|
In-built ONS (Object Naming
Services) Engine can be configured to operate either
out of the enterprise database, or lookup to external
(third party) ONS servers.
|
_
|
Supports all major enterprise
databases - including Oracle, IBM DB2, and Microsoft
SQL Server as well as a number of open-source databases
like MySQL and PostgreSQL.
|
_
|
Integrated PML engine for
integration with client/vendor RFID systems. This standardized
interface (part of the EPC standards) makes it trivial
to integrate with external systems.
|
_
|
XML and Message Queue based
integration with ERP systems for best distributed, asynchronous,
and reliable performance. These standard interfaces
also make it very easy to integrate systems without
the complexity of cross-platform function calls.
|
_
|
Object oriented template
designs and architecture for easy and intuitive customization
and extension.
|
_
|
Out of the box integration
with the REALTIME Enterprise Visualization engine -
allowing you to get visual feedback on every part of
your enterprise, and to be able to view, control, and
manage your operations at a level never possible before.
|
_
|
Built on the ARIES SDK -
a completely Java-based API for every aspect of RFID
operation, including interfacing with multiple readers/writers,
concentrators, and other enterprise infrastructure like
ONS servers and back-end ERP systems. This cross-platform
system allows you to make your decision on hardware
vendor, platform, and servers entirely independent of
the RFID technology. |
