The
entire ARIES server system has been built using the ARIES
SDK - which provides all the basic tools and templates
required to create your own customized RFID server. Some
of the features of the ARIES SDK are:

Installs within standard Java
IDE tools. The Oracle JDeveloper version is currently
available. An Eclipse version is currently under development.
The developer toolkit comes with a completely published
ARIES API Javadoc, as well as a developer manual for easy
reference.

Ability to create your own,
event-driven, high-performance hybrid RFID system, and
also the ability to define your own rules, hardware, and
output mechanisms (including interfaces to external systems).

Supports a number of the most
common tags, readers, and systems right out of the box.
In addition, the SDK also provides the ability to create/interface
with your own custom tag/reader system - for both Active
as well as Passive systems.

Supports a number of reader interfaces
for custom reader development - including the complete
range of serial, TCP/IP, as well as USB interfaces for
your reader.

Comes with it's own in-built
Rule Engine. The Rule Manager uses advanced multivariate
algorithms, and provides you with one of the fastest rule-matching
engines available today - with the ability to process
over 10,000 rules per second.

The rule manager also has a
design-time built-in GUI based customizer to allow you
to create you own, special, customized rules. Each rule
can be linked to one of the standard message-based "actions",
or used to call your own custom "action" to
link to other external programs.

Complete "output"
framework with the ability to link to other, external
systems using a number of connectivity options. The SDK
comes with the ability to build output "links"
to Serial or USB devices (for connection to physical equipment
and controllers), and also a number of TCP/IP options
including an XML feed to external systems.
